Dan Wheals, Founder of Herbaculture started on a mission to connect people to land and community in 2006 whilst studying herbal medicine at Napier University in Edinburgh. The word Herbaculture merged permaculture and herbal medicine. In 2019 Herbaculture became a social enterprise in the UK with a not for profit Community Interest Company structure. Working with communities in schools, prisons and community gardens and designing spaces for learning and wellness.
Post Covid It has pivoted and regenerated as a sole trader from 2021. Using Dan's herbal medicine, plant and eco knowledge, Herbaculture is primarily a garden design service which aims to regenerate health and connection to nature.
